Tom Condit for Insurance Commissioner![]() Tom Condit of Berkeley is running for Insurance Commissioner. He has been endorsed by the Peace and Freedom Party State Central Committee, and party activists throughout the state gathered signatures in lieu for him so that he appeared on the June primary ballot without paying any filing fee. His statement for the June Voter Information Guide that went to all registered voters in California was "I advocate putting human need before insurance company profits. Let's publicly fund and manage a single system of quality health care for all, a state basic auto liability plan, and a single workers' compensation fund. I will fight discrimination based on race, sex, age or geography." Tom was the Peace and Freedom Party's candidate for State Senate from the 9th Senatorial District in the November 2004 election.
