June 6th P&F Results in Yolo CountyLocal CandidatesState SenateThere are no Peace and Freedom Party candidates for State Senate in Yolo County. U.S. House of RepresentativesTim Stock of West Sacramento is running for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 1st Congressional District, which includes the southern half of Yolo County (including Winters, Davis, West Sacramento and most of Woodland), as well as all of Del Norte, Humboldt, Mendocino, Lake and Napa counties, and the eastern portion of Sonoma County. He received 33 votes in Yolo County, of 168 in the entire district. State AssemblyPhil Dynan of Corning is running for state Assembly in the 2nd Assembly District, which includes most of the area of Yolo County (but excluding the population centers of West Sacramento, Davis, Winters and Woodland in the south and east, to include less than 10% of the county's population), as well as all of Siskiyou, Modoc, Shasta, Tehama, Glenn, Colusa and Sutter counties, and the western portion of Butte County. He received 1 vote in Yolo County, of 64 in the entire district. Local Non-partisan OfficesThe webmaster is not aware of any endorsements by the Yolo County Peace and Freedom Party organization of any candidates for local non-partisan offices which were voted on in the June 6th primary election. Peace and Freedom Party Central CommitteesNo members of the Peace and Freedom Party Central Committees were elected from Yolo County in 2004, and the webmaster is not aware of any candidates only for Central Committees from the county who ran in the June 2006 primary election, though Tim Stock became a member of the Central Committees when he was nominated for Congress. Local MeasuresThe webmaster is not aware of any positions taken by the Yolo County Peace and Freedom Party organization on any county, municipal or regional measures that were on the ballot June 6th in Yolo County. Regional CandidateDave Campbell is running for Board of Equalization in the 1st Board of Equalization District, which includes all of Yolo County. He received 34 votes in Yolo County, of 1,508 in the entire district. Statewide CandidatesThe slate of Peace and Freedom Party candidates for statewide partisan public offices are:
The Peace and Freedom Party also recommended a vote for Sarah Knopp for Superintendent of Public Instruction. She is a teacher and a socialist, though not a P&F member, who came in second of five candidates with 695,372 votes (17.3%) statewide for this nominally non-partisan position. In Yolo County, she got 5,340 votes (18.4%). Statewide MeasuresThere were two propositions on the statewide ballot June 6th, assigned proposition numbers 81 and 82. At its April 1st-2nd State Central Committee meeting, the Peace and Freedom Party took a position on one of measures.
